Raining Miracles!

Hallo familie og venner!

After serving in Haugsund for nearly six months, I'm now back in Bergen! Søster Crossley is going to keep performing miracles in Haugesund! Søster Horgmo, my new companion is a native Norwegian!

Normally, it rains A LOT in Bergen. However, it's been sunny the past several days. Instead of raining water, it rained miracles from heaven!

Miracle moments from the week

  • A new investigator! We met him in the city park and had our lesson outside. We taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what happens after we die. He asked several good questions and is genuinely interested to learn. He understands that repentance is a process where we can actually become who God wants us to be. Later that day we taught him, his friend called and asked us if we really don't drink coffee. We had a really good conversation with him! They are both interested to learn more!

  • Teaching E. & M. They are a sweet couple who we teach together. M. came to church one Sunday, having fasted with a question in mind. During Sunday school, the teacher was addressing the question "how can we protect ourselves from the influence of the adversary?" M. said "That was my question!" I know that when we prepare our hearts and minds to come to church, Heavenly Father will pour out His Spirit on us. More specifically, when we prepare to take the sacrament by repenting, Heavenly Father blesses us with forgiveness from our sins and His love abides in our hearts.

A bit of Norway for you! Pictures from the last few P-days:

1-2. Hardanger and Odda kommune. Some famous waterfalls called Langefoss and Låtefoss.

3-5. Djupadalen. The view from the top of the mountain overlooking Haugesund. The remains of some Nazi bunkers.

6. Røvær island. We took a 40 minute ferry to the island off the coast of Haugesund. It's a very small island (we went on a hike around the whole island in about an hour). Gorgeous view of lighthouses and the ocean!
