A week of miracles!

A week of miracles! Mission-wide fast and finding day. Tuesday we had a mission-wide fast for miracles. The next day, all missionaries in Norway dedicated at least four hours to finding. On our designated finding day, we stopped a man on the street to ask him what he was grateful for. He smiled and said, "I'm grateful you stopped me and that we're talking!" He had light in his eyes! So exciting. We quickly began teaching him about Mormons Bok, gave him a copy, and got his phone number. He had an interest to learn more! Little did I know, but there was a man across the street that had watched us this whole time, taking note that we gave this man a free copy of the Book of Mormon. As soon as we were done with this conversation, the man across the street yelled in English, "Hey! You gotta a Bible for me too?" He came up to us and asked us for one. Sure enough, we gave him a copy in English. He said his child was crying in the car, so before we got his phone number or could teach him anything, he had taken the book, a pass along card, and was off. It was a miracle! I know that Heavenly Father placed us in these people's paths, and them in ours. All we had to do was follow the Spirit and open our mouths. Throughout the finding day, we also talked to several people on public transportation or on the street that had either already gotten a copy of Mormons Bok or met with the missionaries. It was a tender mercy that Heavenly Father placed us in their paths again, as if to give them a little push in the right direction, another chance to accept His message. Our Father is so loving and merciful!

I know that through Joseph Smith, God restored the true and complete Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. If we follow the living prophet today, God will never lead us astray. I also know that if we come across doctrines in the Gospel we do not fully understand, we need to ask questions, study and act in faith. However, it is important that we do not doubt the things we already know! We can say as Nephi, "And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things" (1 Nephi 11:17). Have a great week! Med kjærlighet, Søster Brimhall
